J.B. Stevens

J.B. Stevens writes fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and reviews. He won Mystery Tribune’s inaugural micro-fiction contest and has been a finalist for the Silver Falchion Award, the Claymore Award, the Glencairn Glass Short Story Contest, the Colonel Darron L. Wright Award for both fiction and poetry, and the Terry Kay Fiction Prize. He has also been nominated multiple times for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net. A former U.S. Army Infantry Officer who attained the rank of Captain, Stevens served in combat in Iraq and earned numerous honors, including a Bronze Star. He holds degrees from The Citadel and Troy State University, is a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and was undefeated in mixed martial arts competition. Raised in Georgia, he lives in the Deep South with his wife, daughter, and Yorkshire terrier.
