Natalie Musgrave Dossett is an award-winning author who grew up in San Antonio, Texas. A seventh-generation Texan, she spent a lot of time on family ranches listening to tales of the Wild Horse Desert (a place her great-grandmother called “an acquired taste”). Her love of history and passion for writing were nurtured by wonderful high school teachers and strengthened while earning a BA in History at Vanderbilt University. She and her husband live in Dallas and enjoy a large, growing family.

Natalie writes historical fiction highlighting the adventures and ordeals of strong women taming the Wild West. Sarita, her debut novel, won the Women Writing the West WILLA Literary Award for Historical Fiction, received the Laramie Book Awards Grand Prize for Americana Fiction, and was a finalist for the Western Writers of America Spur Award for Best Western Historical.
