William Groneman

William Groneman is a former member of the New York City Fire Department, who lives in Kerrville, TX. A member of the Western Writers of America, he writes about and gives talks on the Alamo, John Steinbeck, Davy Crockett, September 11, 2001, and the FDNY. He also enjoys playing his guitar and singing Irish folk songs. Among his books are Eyewitness to the Alamo, David Crockett – Hero of the Common Man, and September 11 – A Memoir. His novel of the New York City Fire Department, The Minstrel Boy, received the Third-place award for Pre-2010 Historical Fiction in the Spring 2024 Book Fest Awards.
